Camera Gear
I’ve never believed for a second that a camera was “just a tool”. When you’re standing in the perfect spot, at the perfect time, the right tool is the difference between a passing moment lost forever, and a memory saved in a timeless frame.
That’s why I built my kit for three things: reliability, versatility, and perspective. Here’s what I currently carry around the globe.
The Canon R6 Mark III System
My "walking around" lens. It’s wide enough for vast landscapes and sharp enough for intimate street portraits. If I could only take one lens to a desert island, this would be it.
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L
This is all about compression. I use this to pull distant mountains closer or to isolate a subject in a busy crowd. That f/2.8 aperture creates a beautiful, creamy background that makes the subject truly pop.
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L
DJI Mavic Air 3 Pro
Sometimes the best view comes from a higher perspective. The Mavic Air 3 Pro allows me to find patterns and perspectives that simply aren't visible to the human eye. Whether it’s the geometric lines of a vineyard or the sheer scale of a coastline, this drone is my way of "stepping back" to see the bigger picture. It’s small enough to fit in my hiking pack and powerful enough to handle high-altitude winds.
iPhone 17 Pro Max
The best camera is the one you have on you, readily available when the need arises. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has reached a point where it’s capable of professional-grade scouting. I use it for "The In-Between Moments", things like candid shots, quick stories for my followers on IG, and scouting compositions before I even pull my Canon out of the bag. With ProRAW capabilities, these shots often end up being some of my honest favorites.
